The Office of Vocations plays a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding those who feel a calling toward the priesthood or religious life. Our mission is to inspire, discern, and support the spiritual journeys of individuals dedicated to serving God and our community in the most profound way.
Understanding the importance of this life decision, we provide an array of resources and support systems. From retreats and discernment meetings to one-on-one guidance, we ensure that individuals exploring a vocation have the necessary information and spiritual guidance. Our Vocation Director, Rev. Christopher J. Bethge, along with dedicated staff, work closely with men and women to navigate the path of discernment, particularly assisting through the seminary application process for those drawn to diocesan priesthood.
Fostering a Culture of Vocations
We believe that a strong community and a supportive environment are key to nurturing vocations. Thus, our office actively engages with priests, religious, deacons, and lay members to foster a culture that understands and upholds the importance of vocations. By working closely with Parish Vocation Committees and organizing awareness programs, we aim to encourage prayers and action for an increase in vocations, especially amidst the challenges of the modern world.
