Candlelight Vigil Urges Governor Hochul to Veto Assisted Suicide Legislation

For Immediate Release: December 4, 2025

Bishop Robert Brennan, Bishop of the Brooklyn Diocese, will unite with Catholics, healthcare advocates, disability rights representatives and concerned New Yorkers for a candlelight vigil tonight urging Governor Hochul to veto the assisted suicide bill.

The vigil is one of four such events taking place yesterday and today across New York State.

WHEN: Thursday, December 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Outside Governor Hochul’s office, 919 Third Avenue, Manhattan (groups will meet on 55th St.)

MEDIA CONTACTS:
Jessica Rodgers, Coalitions Director for the Patients’ Rights Action Fund, 518-227-1362
Robert Bellafiore, New York State Catholic Conference, 518-928-8471
