Come - and you will see
Jesus turned and saw
them following him and said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to
him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?" He
said to them, "Come, and you will see." So they went and saw where he was
staying, and they stayed with him that day. - John
1:38-39
Through retreats, group
discussions, education awareness, and spiritual direction, our programs help
young men and women discern God's will for their lives.
Men's Discernment
Project Andrew:
Young men,
whose names have been suggested as possible candidates for priesthood, are
invited by the parish priest to share a meal and conversation about priesthood.
Parishes throughout the Diocese sponsor this program.

Women's
Discernment
Women Exploring: A program
for women, college age
and older, who feel a possible call from God to live as a member of a
vowed community, who wish to learn more about religious life and who are ready
to discern life-giving choices with others. The group meets monthly; spiritual
direction is provided and a discernment retreat day concludes the year.

Vocation Awareness Education Programs
Parent
Vocation Awareness Program: This presentation has been
designed specifically for parents to assist them to speak
openly with their children about vocation. Parents learn how to help their
child discern a vocation and support them in the vocation of their
choice. Vocation: A Family
Blessing?
Faculty Vocation
Workshop: This workshop is offered to
faculties in Catholic schools and parish religious educators. It
focuses on our Baptismal call and looks at the choice of vocation in
life. Teachers are given suggestions of how to mentor students
who are in the process of choosing a life vocation.
Let Your Light
Shine: A day-long
seminar for juniors and seniors in high-school. The seminar provides
an overview of the students' Baptismal call to holiness and service,
while also raising their consciousness to the various opportunities
available to young people in the Church today. It is a day to listen, to
dialogue, and to pray!
