Bishop Thomas V. Daily ordained
Father Kevin J. Sweeney on June 28, 1997, at St. James
Cathedral Basilica, Brooklyn, New York. His first assignment was to St. Nicholas
of Tolentine Parish, Jamaica, where he served as Parochial Vicar from 1997 to
2003. He then served in Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Corona, for one year.
On June 28, 2004, Bishop DiMarzio appointed Fr. Sweeney Director of
Vocations for the Diocese of Brooklyn
