Board of Mediation
The Diocese of Brooklyn maintains a Board of Mediation as a means of resolving disputes between
parties. Mediation is a process through which a trained, disinterested third party can help
people in conflict come to a mutually acceptable resolution, without recourse to the court system.
The Mediation Board operated independently from the Diocesan
Tribunal, although the Tribunal may refer people to the Board.
