Our Diocese has its own missionary effort formally known as the Society of the Immaculate Conception of Brooklyn. The society was founded by Bishop Thomas Daily in 1993 to promote ecclesial interchanges of personnel between this Diocese and any diocese from which our parishioners come. The need to appreciate the massive migration of peoples in terms of Church and Gospel have been noticed by the Pope as an integral part of contemporary efforts of evangelization.
