Although
it is easy enough to clump all the missionary activities together under the
umbrella of "the Missions" or "the Propagation" it is helpful to take a more
particular look at the various programs and mission efforts that together make
up the majority of our Church's apostolic work.
The most commonly known societies are
the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, the Society of St. Peter the
Apostle, and the Holy Childhood Association. Joined together, they promote
greater effectiveness and eliminate undue duplication in what is properly known
as mission ad gentes, or beyond the
local church.
The navigation bar on the
left hand
side of this page will allow you to explore these programs in more detail.
