Founded in 1967, the Pastoral Institute of the Brooklyn Diocese has a long tradition of providing programs and resources for theological, spiritual, and pastoral formation for the faithful in Brooklyn and Queens. This tradition continues to the present time with programs that are specifically designed for lay pastoral leaders in our parishes.
Institute programs and resources encourage spiritual, academic, and pastoral development. Through dialogue with Scripture, Catholic theology, and pastoral practice, as well as regular time for prayer and theological reflection, participants come to better understand what it means to think, feel, and live as authentic disciples of Christ and ministers of the New Evangelization.
