Some theologians have even suggested that it is God's own gift of self to Creation. The Catholic Church deeply affirms the sacred value of all life, especially the life of human persons and communities.  Our office's Respect Life ministry, through its many programs seeks to cultivate respect, appreciation, and the development of life in all of its many forms. Through education, spiritual resources, referral to networks of care, and personal encouragement, our office seeks to incarnate the love of God which is for life wherever it is found. To affirm life, to defend life, to replenish life's meaning when it comes upon hollow places. This is the work of Respect Life. Just as Christ came to call all people to fullness of life, Respect Life recognizes the unique needs of particular individuals and communities-those who have lost a child, those who have lost a family member, those who are facing their own death. To be the hands and heart of Christ to you when you are facing such hollow places is the deepest wish of Respect Life.
