The Diocese of Brooklyn,
like the other six dioceses and one Archdiocese in the State of New York, plays
an active role in shaping public policies. Its Catholic Charities and Family
Life offices, in particular, advocate for laws and regulations that will foster
the common good, advance justice and promote respect for human life. Each year
the Diocese brings more than 100 Catholics to Albany to lobby their legislators
in our state's Capitol.
