The members of PROSPER are parents and friends of the mentally challenged and learning disabled children who participate in the Laboure Special Education Program of the Diocese of Brooklyn.

PROSPER works to enhance the life of these special children by:

  • Being a support for the parents of the children
  • Raising funds to maintain and expand the educational services needed by the children
  • Raising public awareness concerning the needs of the mentally retarded and learning disabled children

Every year PROSPER raises thousands of dollars for children in the program.  Highlights include a spring dinner dance and a fall festival, as well as a Halloween gathering for the children.
