"Our goal," says William Slow, director of the program for
the last seven years, "is to take each kid and have them reach their
potential to get them into a paid, full-time position so that they can
become active participants in our society with as much independence as
possible."
Parents play an
important part in helping the program reach its goal. They help strengthen
and sustain the program through their support and encouragement of their
children. PROSPER
is the
parent organization that helps the program maintain its high level of
effectiveness through fundraising and buying needed equipment for the
classrooms.
