Internet child abuse forums
An expert on child and adolescent exploitation prevention will speak at separate forums in Brooklyn and Queens.
Robert Hugh Farley, a member of INTERPOL and a former Chicago police officer, will speak about protecting children from Internet predators at a forum at Bishop Ford H.S., Park Slope, and St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
The sessions are being sponsored by the diocese's Safe Environment Program.
These talks are for adults only, particularly anyone in the diocese who works with young people. No students from high school or elementary school will be admitted.

The talks are being offered as part of a program which offers Virtus training, which is mandatory for all teachers, youth ministers and anyone else in contact with young people in diocesan programs.
Virtus sessions are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Agatha, Sunset Park; Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. at Holy Name, Park Slope;Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston; Friday, Oct. 28, at noon at Christ the King H.S., Middle Village; Saturday, Oct. 29, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Snows, North Floral Park; Saturday, Oct. 29, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude, Canarsie; and Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11:30 a.m. at SS. Joachim and Anne, Queens Village.
