DIOCESAN MISSION OFFICE MOVING TO PARK SLOPE

After decades in the Catholic Charities building at 191 Joralemon St. in downtown Brooklyn, the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith/Holy Childhood Association will relocate Nov. 1 to offices at the diocesan building at 310 Prospect Park West in Park Slope.

Father John F. Brogan, the director, said the move will create a closer integration into the diocesan administrative structure for the mission-aiding societies, which provide spiritual and material resources to missionaries all over the world

Father Brogan, the director since 2000, said Propagation leaders and staff had greeted missionaries at the downtown address since the ear of the late Auxiliary Bishop John J. Boardman, who directed the office from 1937 until 1966.

"While we have a new location, our focus remains the same---mission animation and education---with the needs of missionaries at the forefront of our work," he said.

Father Brogan said the new office will accomodate a full-time staff of five, as well as volunteers. The new phone number will be (718)965-7326.
