STATEMENT BY BISHOP DiMARZIO
ON BISHOP MANSELL’S APPOINTMENT

            I wish to congratulate Bishop Henry Mansell as he leaves his pastoral ministry as Bishop of Buffalo to assume the position of Archbishop of Hartford. Bishop Mansell has been an articulate and knowledgeable spokesman on the social and educational issues affecting the life of the Church in New York State for many years. I am sure he will provide that same effective leadership on behalf of the faithful in Connecticut. May God bless him abundantly in his new responsibilities.
