CARIBBEAN BISHOP

TO LEAD REVIVAL

 

            A Catholic bishop from the Caribbean will preach at a three-day Revival for parishioners of 12 churches in Southeast Queens Tuesday through Thursday, May 30-June 1, beginning at 7:30 each evening.

 

            Bishop Donald J. Reece of the Diocese of St. John’s-Basseterre in Antigua will lead the Revival, designed to enrich the religious faith of the attendees.

 

The venue will change each night. St. Pascal Baylon Church, 112-43 198th St., St. Albans, will host the first session. St. Bonaventure Church, 114-58 170th St., Jamaica, will be the location on May 31. The concluding meeting will take place at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 118-17 Riverton St., St. Albans, on June 1.

 

The nine other Southeast Queens parishes promoting the Revival are St. Benedict the Moor, St. Joseph’s and St. Pius V, all Jamaica; Christ the King and St. Mary Magdalene, Springfield Gardens; St. Clare’s and St. Pius X, Rosedale; St. Clement Pope, South Ozone Park, and Sacred Heart, Cambria Heights.
