TO NOTE ANNIVERSARY
The 40th anniversary of “Nostra Aetate,” the historic Vatican II Declaration on the Relationship of the Church to Non-Christian Religions, will be commemorated at a lecture and reception at the Immaculate Conception Center, 7200 Douglaston Pkwy., Douglaston, Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m.
The speakers will be Dr. Eugene J. Fisher, director of Catholic-Jewish Relations for the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Rabbi Gilbert S. Rosenthal, executive director of the National Council of Synagogues.
Sponsors of the event are the Diocese of Brooklyn, the New York Board of Rabbis, the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and the Jewish Community Relations Council.
